How to join Best Buddies |
Make sure to pay attention to the morning announcements in the Fall. Informational meetings will be announced at that time.
At the meetings you will schedule an interview time for later that week or the following. You will be interviewed by a Best Buddies student officer. They will ask you about your interests, other activities your involved in, past experiances working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and why you are interested in joining Best Buddies.
You will also be asked to complete a Best Buddies Membership Application and Matching Survey online on
the chapter portal at: www.bestbuddiesonline.org.
After all the interviews have been conducted the officers will review all the applicants. They will purposefully choose applicants that fit the needs of a specific buddy. If you aren't selcected to be a peer buddy you may be asked to be an associate.
